"Siesta" Etching - Artist's Proof

This special numbered artist's proof edition was printed on different types and shades of archival papers, making each print a one of a kind.

This handmade etching is the result of a yearlong collaboration between artist Aron Wiesenfeld and renowned Italian printmaker Guido Pigni. Using the same intaglio technique that has remained unchanged since the 1400's.  Hand-drawn on copper plate and etched in acid, each print is then hand-inked and pressure printed on Arches archival 300gsm paper in Milan.  The manual process makes each print subtly unique from the others in the edition.
